I can't avoid laughing when I'm thinking about the american movies (the ones in New York, generally) where they call a taxi, just raising their hand in the street and shouting "Taxiii!". In Brussels, it barely ever happens. You generally raise your hand...

Health update

Céline and I have suffered a bit from the diet change. She's spent Monday recovering (sleeping, basically) and the doctor came to visit and gave her antibiotics, but the spirit is good (she wants to get back to work). I think she likes the job, she says...

La fugasa

The "fuga" is a kind of salted snack here, basically made of bread (very white, very light and fluffy bread) and onions. This bit cost me 1.5 Soles, I think.

First Aid course

So I did a first aid course a few weeks ago. It was 24 hours in total and ended with theory and practical exam on Saturday. I had a very good partner with whom I practised bandages and first evluation / second evalutation.... Thanks to Mirelia. Proudly...

Little shake makes me wonder

We had a clear "tremblor" in Lima yesterday. Julio, one of my employees, was the first to realize. I don't think it was worth reporting on the USGS website, but we could definitely all feel it, and it lasted for 5-10 seconds.

Fruta Del Norte - Petit Serpent (video)
