Céline's coming back soon

Céline's in Quito (Ecuador) right now. She came back there from her 3-4 weeks workcamp in the jungle, and will return to Lima tomorrow (Thursday). She tells me that everything went smoothly with her visa, so she has a more stable status than I have, now...

New photos

New photos have been uploaded in the Barranco album as there weren't many photo of that district and we just so happened to be there yesterday for the National Pisco Day. I've also uploaded the last of the Santiago de Chile album, with views of Valparaiso....

First uni conference

Telefonica is not good

Not that anybody would say the opposite, but I pay about half the price of the lowest legal salary here for an internet connexion which is, really, not good (compared to my posh European standards). Well, that doesn't give me a better person to handle...

Casino

Today we went to the casino with our friends Carlos, Julien and Lionel. It is their last evening in Lima today. Yannick and I played "roulette" and we bet 50 soles (12.5 euros) or 25 each. Bets start at 2 soles (0.5 euros) so it's a very reasonable amount....

Second night out

From what we've seen yesterday (on our second night out), the Friday local people seem to have a totally different dancing behaviour than on Sunday. It seems like the Sunday is a one-to-one dancing night, while the Friday is more like an everybody-dance-together...

Volcanoes and Earthquakes

28 ans et encore toutes mes dents!
