FDN: Pack up and leave before end of May

Yesterday (or the day before?) we had a couple of journalists on site, from the newspaper El Universo. Here is the fruit of their work (in spanish)... Article El Universo.

The bosses of Aurelian are rather annoyed that the photo's legend says "extraction" is carrying on as normal. First of all, extraction implies they are extract metal (ie gold) but they are merely drilling for core, as it is still the exploration phase. And secondly, work does not carry on as normal, they simply finish the holes they have started before dissasembling the rigs. The hole Golder was working on was meant to be followed by a hole drilled form the same platform but at 180° from the first. Well it's been cancelled and the rig is being dismounted as I write. All the work that's left for us Golder people is unexciting, soporific core logging. And be done before you leave camp please. Six metres down, only 344 to go.....
