1st floor, please

Or, in spanish: "Primer piso, por favor". Just so you know, floor numbers in Peru seem to start from 1, where 1 = ground floor = street level. I know a lot of countries have variations on that. I think I remember something about Japan or China "skipping"...

Temperature

Visiting the surroundings

This weekend we walked around the golf of San Isidro, we were told it was quiet, posh and was the neighbourhood of occidentalised businesses. We walked on Calle San Martin and crossed the Malecon Balta, passing many volkswagen bugs on the way. These cars...

Health update

Céline and I have suffered a bit from the diet change. She's spent Monday recovering (sleeping, basically) and the doctor came to visit and gave her antibiotics, but the spirit is good (she wants to get back to work). I think she likes the job, she says...

For the tourist...

A short story of our arrival in Lima... In the plane from Brussels to Madrid and then Madrid to Brussels, we met Jefferson, a Peruvian guy (I think he's 21) who has a Belgian girlfriend (flemish). He stayed in Gent for 3 months and was going back to Peru...

Lima

Right, so here we are, configuring this blog to keep in touch with all of you. We've added some photos (I grant you it's a bit messy) so you can see a little tiny bit of what we see. There is a photo of when we left Brussels at 8.15am on the 20th April...
