Helicopter ride

Monday was an exciting day: I was taken for a helicopter ride! It was my first ever helicopter flight and it was very nice. During the 20-25min it lasted, we flew around the surrounding jungle covered valleys and higher plateau areas, we passed a waterfall and lots of illegal mining camps (they just come with their paddle boats and equipment and mine the gold in a not very environmentally friendly way - they usually wash it out rather than mine it out of the ground and they do get about 10 grams of gold per day so enough to live by comfortably).
Other than that, yesterday night we did a packer test in a borehole (hydrogeological test) and today I started logging some core. It's been very sunny and hot these last two days, with no rain at all.
